Description
This stator cover gasket is constructed from AFM (Aluminum Foam Material), a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. AFM's unique properties prevent the gasket from sticking to the engine case, drastically reducing service time and eliminating the need for scraping. The aluminum core provides superior strength, preventing weeping or crawling, even in modern engines with limited sealing surfaces. This gasket requires no sealants or silicone beads, and re-torquing is unnecessary, saving you time and effort during installation. Engineered to withstand high temperatures, AFM maintains an 85% recovery rate and strong torque retention, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-free seal. For magneto covers, Cometic utilizes EST (Extreme Sealing Technology) material, offering exceptional sealing capabilities.
