Description

The Renthal Twinring™ rear sprocket utilizes a unique two-piece design. The inner ring is manufactured from Renthal's high-strength Ultralight™ 7075 T-6 aluminum, the same material used in their standard sprockets, ensuring minimal weight and maximum power transfer. The outer ring is constructed from electro-less nickel-coated steel, providing ultimate durability and resistance to wear. The outer ring is carefully designed with minimal material to maintain a light weight. The two rings are permanently bonded using an interference fit process where the outer ring is expanded at 200°C before being fitted over the inner ring, with a wave pattern ensuring a secure bond for the life of the sprocket. Flat socket head screws add further strength, particularly during side impacts, and prevent contact with the chain guide. Self-cleaning mud grooves between each tooth prevent dirt build-up, reducing chainwheel wear and maintaining optimal performance. Expect approximately three times the lifespan of a standard all-aluminum sprocket, with a weight significantly less than an all-steel equivalent.
