Description

Renthal's Twinring™ rear sprocket utilizes a unique two-piece design to maximize both strength and weight reduction. The inner ring is constructed from high-strength Ultralight™ 7075 T-6 aluminum, the same material used in Renthal's standard sprockets, offering superior weight savings. The outer ring is made from electro-less nickel-coated steel, providing ultimate durability and resistance to wear. This outer ring is carefully designed with the minimum amount of material to maintain a low overall weight. The two rings are permanently bonded together using an interference fit process at 200°C, further enhanced by a wave pattern, ensuring a robust and lasting connection. Flat socket head screws provide additional strength, especially during side impacts, and prevent contact with the chain guide. Self-cleaning mud grooves between each tooth prevent dirt buildup, reducing chainwheel wear and minimizing weight. The Renthal Twinring sprocket significantly outlasts standard all-aluminum sprockets, offering up to three times the lifespan while remaining lighter than an all-steel rear sprocket.
