Description

The Renthal Twinring™ rear sprocket utilizes a two-piece construction to maximize both strength and weight reduction. The inner ring is machined from high-strength Ultralight™ 7075 T-6 aluminum, the same material used in Renthal's renowned standard sprockets. The outer ring is made from electro-less nickel-coated steel, providing ultimate durability and wear resistance. This outer ring is carefully designed with minimal material to maintain a low weight profile. The two rings are permanently bonded using an interference fit process, where the outer ring is expanded at 200°C before being fitted over the inner ring. This, combined with a unique wave pattern, ensures a robust and lasting connection. Flat socket head screws further enhance the sprocket's strength, particularly against side impacts, and prevent interference with the chain guide. Self-cleaning mud grooves between each tooth prevent dirt buildup, reducing chainwheel wear and maintaining optimal performance.
