Description

The Renthal Twinring™ rear sprocket represents a leap forward in sprocket technology. It features a high-strength Ultralight™ 7075 T-6 aluminum inner ring, the same material used in Renthal's standard sprockets, ensuring minimal weight and maximum strength where it matters most. The outer ring is constructed from electro-less nickel-coated steel, providing ultimate durability and resistance to wear. This steel outer ring is engineered with the minimum amount of material necessary to keep weight down, maintaining a competitive edge. The two rings are permanently bonded using an interference fit achieved through a 200°C expansion process and a unique wave pattern. Flat socket head screws further enhance the chainwheel's strength, particularly during side impacts, while also preventing contact with the chain guide. Self-cleaning mud grooves between each tooth prevent dirt buildup, reducing chainwheel wear and weight. Expect up to three times the lifespan of a standard aluminum sprocket, while remaining significantly lighter than an all-steel alternative.
